Sustainability

We are a living part of Lençóis…
We care for this place as if it were a sacred home.
For us, hospitality only exists when it creates a positive impact: when it protects the earth, values people, and celebrates the culture that inspires us every day.
At Canto das Águas, sustainability isn't a differentiator;
it's the way we choose to exist.

ENERGY, WATER, AND SIMPLICITY

We were the first hotel in Brazil to receive ABNT Sustainable certification, a milestone that reflects our constant pursuit of environmental balance and social responsibility.
We have a photovoltaic power plant, solar heating systems, smart showers with consumption reducers, and clay filters in the social areas, symbols of technology that respects the essential.

Environmental Awareness and Waste Reduction

Every detail is considered to generate the least possible impact.
We use biodegradable products for all amenities: shampoo, soap, conditioner, and liquid soap, and we've replaced plastic with reusable packaging and natural fabrics like raw cotton and cloth bags.
Our selective waste baskets, handcrafted in vine by local artisans, are 100% biodegradable and bring nature into the hotel’s sustainable daily routine.
We donate used cooking oil to Embasa, send cans, plastics, and cardboard for recycling at cooperatives in Seabra, and repurpose sheets, pillowcases, and textile materials for charitable donations.

COMMUNITY COMMITMENT

We believe that true sustainability includes the social.
We actively contribute to religious, cultural, school, and health events, supporting everything from capoeira and dance classes for the community to surgical drives and family health projects.
We maintain fixed donations to institutions that transform lives:
Avante, BVL “Lençóis Volunteer Brigade” and Luz da Manhã.

Trail Snack and Appreciation of Local Culture

Our “Trail Snacks” tell the stories of the Chapada in every ingredient: prospector's farofa, organic dried banana from local communities, honeycomb from Vale do Capão, and canned water, all packaged in reusable raw cotton bags, generating no waste.
Even the simple bread bag is a gesture of awareness: reusable, made of natural fabric, and produced by local seamstresses.

The Trail Snack (Merenda de Trilha) must be requested by the day before the outing, at the reception or concierge.

CARE FOR PEOPLE

As part of our commitment to people, the hotel subsidizes 50% of gym membership fees. Today, 56% of our team members practice physical activities. We also subsidize 50% of English and French courses for professional development.
In addition, we offer the "Bem Mais" plan (medical and dental assistance) to all employees, support specialization courses, and promote health campaigns such as vaccination, Pink October, and Movember.
